Film Trailer and Poster analysis

1)This is the poster for "Django Unchained"  This is the trailer for my chosen                                                                                           film.

4) The key poster conventions that I can find are: The central image and secondary images;The title;The slogan;The release date;The main stars of the film and the production blurb.

   5)In the trailer, you see the director, short key moments that introduce key     characters,on screen text, institutional details (Studios etc.) and music that communicates the genre of the film.

   6) In my opinion, I think that the poster and trailer do promote my chosen film because the trailer says that "Directed by Quintin Tarantino" which promotes the film because people will know who the director and will want to see the film because of his other works which people may have liked so they may want to see his latest films.

The poster promotes the film because of the cast. Christoph Waltz. Being a German actor, could attract a German audience because, he is a German actor and when people see that he is in "Django Uunchained," they would see that a German actor is in a Hollywood film.
